Takes cognizance of the Central Board of Secondary Education notified National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test 2018 scheduled to be held on the 6th of May 2018 for Admission into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery & Bachelor of Dental Surgery Courses for the Academic Year 2018 – 2019 for Admission into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBSS) / Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Courses in India in Medical / Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India (MCI) / Dental Council of India (DCI) under the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (UMHFW), Government of India (GoI) except for the Institutions established through an Act of Parliament, e.g., the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) Puducherry and would like to briefly state in the subsequent Paragraphs:

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) shall upload 2nd week of April 2018 on the Official Website the electronic Admit Cards for the National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test 2018 for the Candidates appearing in the said National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test / Entrance Examination 2018 scheduled for the 6th of May 2018.

The Central Board of Secondary Education released e-Admittance Tickets shall be available for downloading commencing on the 02nd week of April 2018 onwards.

The National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (UG) – 2018 will be conducted on Sunday, the 6th of May, 2018.    

The National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (Under Graduate) – 2018 [NEET (UG) – 2018] shall be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for Admission into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBSS) / Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Courses in India in Medical / Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India (MCI) / Dental Council of India (DCI) under the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (UMHFW), Government of India (GoI) except for the Institutions established through an Act of Parliament, e.g., the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) Puducherry.

The National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (UG) – 2018 will be conducted on Sunday, the 6th of May, 2018. The responsibility of the Central Board of Secondary Education is limited to conducting the Entrance Test / Entrance Examination, Declaration of result and providing All India Ranks to the Directorate General Health Services, Government of India to facilitate hosting Counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats (AIQS) and for supplying the result to the State / other Counseling Authorities.

For Admission into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery & Bachelor of Dental Surgery Courses the Candidates are advised to keep available with them the Documents stated here Educational Documents Proof of Remittance of the Examination Fee Computer Generated Confirmation Page of the Online Application Copy of the System generated Self-Declaration in respect of the Candidate from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir States who have opted for the Seats under 15% All India Quota (AIQ).

Nota Bene:

The Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE NEET 2018 Merit listed / All India Ranked Candidates to necessarily preserve their respective e-Admit Cards and all other Documents as mentioned till the Admission in the Medical and Dental College or Institution.

Procedure for Admission into M.B.B.S. & B.D.S. Programs:

Followed by the Medical Council of India Information Bulletin and Air Force Medical College (AFMC) Counseling and other events, and in compliance with the Directives issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India vide its Judgment, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi would shall host the National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET), for Admission into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Courses during the Academic Session  2018-19. This said National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test shall be conducted for 15% Merit Positions in the Medical / Dental Colleges of India as cited in the Directives of the Honorable Supreme Court and will be governed by the Rules and Regulations specified for the same by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW / MHFW), Government of India from time to time.

There are also State Governments / Universities / Institutions voluntarily participating in the CBSE NEET 2018 (CBSE) Merit List for Admission into the Medical Colleges / Dental Colleges against the Seats under their control.

The responsibility of the Central Board of Secondary Education remains limited to conduct of the Central Board of Secondary Education National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test / CBSE / Entrance Test, Declaration of Result and providing the Merit List/s to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and the Participating States / Universities / Institutions.

Counseling for the Central Board of Secondary Education NEET 2018 Merit Listed Candidates under 15% All India Quota (AIQ) Seats shall be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services and Counselling for Admission into the Seats under the control of other Participating States / Universities / Institutions shall be conducted by their respective Authorities.
