The Candidates fulfilling the Eligibility Criteria should reach the duly completed Application Forms on or before the 4th Date of September 2018 (04.09.2018).
Application on a Plain Paper (21 Cms x 36 Cms) duly Typewritten as per the Format provided in the Advertisement.
The Envelope containing the Application should be “Super- scribed in Red Ink “Clearly Indicating “Application for Short Service Commission in Remount Veterinary Corps” .
The Candidate shall have Mail the Applications through Ordinary Post / Registered / Speed Post to reach at the Address mentioned in the Later Part of this Information Bulletin.
Age Limitation (As On 01.09.2018)
Un-Reserved Candidates should have attained Minimum 21 Years and must not exceed (Maximum) 32 Years.
Relaxation in Upper Age Limitations for Reserved Category Candidates.
He should have in possession Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.Vet. Sc.) / Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry Degree awarded by any of the Recognized Indian University or its Equivalent Foreign Degree (i.e. the Candidate must possess Recognized Veterinary Qualification included in the First or Second Schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984).
Method Of Selection:
Screening of the Applications for Shortlisting:
Shortlisting of the Applications and Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview: Initial Screening and Shortlisting of the Application Forms shall be conducted at Directorate General Remount Veterinary Service (DGRVS), Integrated Head Quarter (IHQ) of the Ministry of Defence (Army) before forwarding them to Recruiting Directorate, Integrated Head Quarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army). The Candidates whose applications are found in order shall be detailed to appear for the Service Selection Board on a specified Date.
Two Stage Selection Procedures. On the Arrival at the Selection Centre, the Candidates shall be put to undergo Stage 1 of the “Two Stage Testing Procedure”.
The Candidates Failing in Stage I, shall be sent back on the same day and those who Qualify, will be detailed to undergo Group Test, Psychological Test and Interview, which would extend for a duration of 05 days. The Candidates recommended by the Services Selection Board and declared Medically Fit, would be inducted for training in the order of Merit depending upon the number of vacancies available.
Procedure for Selection:
Stage – I: Testing:
- Officer Intelligence Rating Test (OIRT).
- Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PPDT).
Stage – I is a Screening Test: Those who qualify Stage-I are Eligible to undergo Stage-II Testing. Stage – I Disqualified Candidates are Routed Back following / after Announcement of the Results.
- All Stage – I Qualified Candidates need to undergo Following Tests as part of Stage-II Testing during next Four to Five Days. Fifth Day is for Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Testing (Flying Branch).
- Psychological Tests (PT) are the Written Tests that are conducted by a Psychologist.
- Group Tests (GTs) are Interactive Indoor and Outdoor Activities, which are a Combination of Mental and Physical Tasks / Works.
- The Interview involves a Personal Conversation with an Interviewing Officer (IO).
Step III – Conduct of Medical Examinations:
The Candidates shall be recommended by the Indian Army Selection Board for the Medical Examination.
Step – IV Preparation of the All India Merit List (AIML):
An All India Merit List shall be compiled on the basis of the Candidates’ individual Performance in the Written Test and the Indian Army Selection Board Interview, subject to being declared Medically Fit. Based on the Vacancies available in Remount Veterinary Corps, Joining Instructions are issued to Join One of the Training Establishments.
The Candidate should take note that Mere Qualifying at the Services Selection Board Interview does not confirm his Final Selection.
Merit List will be prepared on the basis of the Marks obtained by the Candidates at Services Selection Board’s and, as such, Higher Educational Qualifications, Previous Performances have no role to play for Selection to the Post / Award of Short Service Commission.
Those ranked / declared High in the Merit List and who come within the Stipulated Vacancies and also are declared Medically Fit are issued the Joining Instructions.
