The Vice Chancellor, Magadh University, Bodh Gayais is likely to to understand that the Office of the Vice Chancellor shortly release Counseling (1st / 2nd Round) detailing the Schedule for Verification of Documents for Seat Allotment at the Constituent Colleges and the Affiliated Colleges under Magadh University.

We do look forward to the Office of the Vice Chancellor, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya to declare the Merit List exhibiting the Candidates’ Names and Roll Numbers for admission into Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) / Master of Education (M.Ed.) Regular Course for the Academic Session 2018 – 2020.  First Alert in regard thereto shall be published on our Website in concurrence with the Office of Vice Chancellor Communique for the ready reference of the Candidates.  In the meantime, we would like to advise the Candidates declared Successful in the B.Ed. / M.Ed. (Regular) Joint Entrance Test 2018 held very shortly.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor has earmarked 100 Seats for Admission into Bachelor of Education Regular Course for the Academic Year 2018 – 20 and the Distribution of the Seats for Allotment as already notified in the Advertisement.

A List of Finally Selected Candidates will be prepared in order of the Merit, based on their respective performance in the B.Ed. Joint Entrance Test.

Intake
For One Academic Session, 100 Students will be admitted into B.Ed. Regular Course based on the performance in the B.Ed. (Regular) Joint Entrance Test (BEJET) 2018 and following are the Norms of Reservation of Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya (MUBG).

Reservation:

The Seats shall be reserved for Scheduled Caste [16%], Scheduled Tribe [01%], Backward Class – I [18%], Backward Class – II [12] & Backward Class Women [03%].

Admission against these Seats will be made provided the Candidates have passed the Qualifying Examination and appeared in the B.Ed. Joint Entrance Test, securing the Qualifying Marks in the said B.Ed. Joint Entrance Examination 2018, i.e. 45%.

Appearance in the B.Ed. Joint Entrance Test is mandatory. The Reserved Category Candidates shall have to submit a Copy of the Certificate mentioning that the he / she belongs to a particular Reserved Category from an Officer not below the Rank of Sub-Divisional-Officer (SDO).

03% Seats shall be reserved for Physically Disabled Candidates: Visually Impaired (1%), Hearing Impaired (1%) & Orthopedically Handicapped (1%)

Supernumerary Seats:

There may be a Provision of 10% Reservation within the Intake Limit for Ward of Magadh University Employees (working at Magadh University Head Quarter only) as per Provision of General Admission ordinance of Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya. (A Proof issued from Competent Authority must accompany the application form).

The selection of the Candidates for admission into the B.Ed. Course in Regular Mode shall be made on the basis of the B.Ed. (Regular) Joint Entrance Test conducted by the University.
To qualify for admission to B.Ed. course, a Candidate must obtain minimum of 45% Marks in the B.Ed. Joint Entrance Test 2018 held for the purpose provided that the said Minimum Qualifying Marks may be suitably lowered by the Vice-Chancellor, if all the Seats are not filled up.

Admission shall be made strictly in order of Merit, i.e., Percentage of Marks secured by the Candidate at the B.Ed. Joint Entrance Test held for the purpose.

Reservation of the Seats for the Candidates of the Reserved Categories will be as per the State Government’s Rules / Magadh University Rules for Admission in other Degree Courses. In no case, the percentage of reservation fixed by the State Government will exceed.

Reservation of the Seats provided in the General Ordinance for admission will be applicable only when the Candidate fulfills the minimum requirement, i.e., he / she should have  obtained Minimum 45% Marks in the B.Ed. Joint Entrance Test.

The Seat left unfilled in any of the Categories shall be filled up by admitting the Applicants from the Merit List of the General Category.

If at any stage, it is found that the Candidate has furnished any false information, then his / her candidature shall be cancelled immediately without citing any reason.

The University shall reserve the right to take any decision in all matters of Admission.
No applicant shall be admitted, who in the opinion of Vice-Chancellor, should not be admitted in the best interest of the University.

Magadh Univ B.Ed/M.Ed Admissions Counseling 2018

a)     Selection of candidates shall be made strictly as per the Rules of the University / Directorate.
b)     The Reservation Policy of the State Government of Bihar (for Educational Institutions) and the University Rules will be followed.

c)     If necessary, the University may hold Pre-Admission Test for selection of the Candidates.
d)     No Candidate can claim Admission as matter of Right.

e)     The Selected Candidates will be informed about their Selection through Website or by Notice Board in the Department of Education / Study Centres. Study Centres.
f)     The candidate will have to produce the Selection Letter and all the Original Documents as mentioned above, along with the Bank Draft of the Amount prescribed as Fee for the Course at the time of Admission. The Demand Draft issued by the Central Bank of India only must be drawn in favor of “Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Magadh University Bodh-Gaya” payable atBodh-Gaya. Cash Payment will not be accepted except in Special Circumstances through Money Receipt.

i)      The Candidate must contact the Director, Directorate of Distance Education, and Magadh University Bodh-Gaya to find out the Status of his / her Request for Admission, if needed during the Office hour only.

j)      The University reserves the right to amend the Schedule, Rules, Course Structure and Fee Structure as and when it seems necessary.
k)     After Admission, each candidate will be given a Registration No. He / She must quote the Registration No. and Name of the Course in all future correspondence with the Department. Any Letter, which does not bear the Registration Number, will not be entertained.
