Maharashtra DIET D.El.Ed/D.Ed Admissions 2018, Form | Apply Online | Counseling:

Briefly state with reference to the upcoming Communiqué in respect of Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) likely to be released by the Department of Higher Education, Maharashtra for admission into Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) Course for the Academic Session 2018 – 2020 in the subsequent Paragraphs.

Maharashtra D.El.Ed | D.Ed Admissions Form 2018

The Department of Higher Education (DHE), Pune shall shortly release Detailed Notification in respect of admission into Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) offered at the District Institutes of Education & Training / Self-Financed institutes and other Institutions affiliated with Department of Higher Education, Pune, Maharashtra. The application submission form for D.El.ED 2018 entrance test will be released soon.

Submitting Online Application form is extended till 30 June 2018.

The Department of Higher Education shall conduct the D.Ed. / D.El.Ed. Entrance Test 2018 for Admission into Diploma in Elementary Education and Diploma in Education Courses offered for Academic Session 2018– 20.

In view of the upcoming D.Ed. / D.El.Ed. Entrance Test 2018, we look forward to Department of Higher Education, Pune as briefly stated in the subsequent Sections.

Eligibility Criteria:

1.1. Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (by whatever Name known)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 45% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (by whatever Name known), in accordance with the  National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 04-Years’ Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with at least 50% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of the 02-Years’ Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

OR

Graduation and passed or appearing in the Final Year of the Two Years’ Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever Name known).

1.2. Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage:

Graduation and Passed or appearing in the Final Year of 02-Years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (by whatever Name known).

OR

Graduation with at least 50% Marks and passed or appearing in 01-Year’s Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

Graduation with at least 45% Marks and passed or appearing in 01-Year’s Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with at least 50% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 04-Years’ Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its Equivalent) with Minimum 50% Marks and passed or appearing in the Final Year of 04-Year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Graduation with at least 50% Marks and passed or appearing in 01-Year’s B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

1.3. Note:

Relaxation up to 5% Marks in the Qualifying Examination Marks in the Minimum Educational Qualification for Eligibility shall be allowed to the Candidates belonging to Reserved Categories / Reserved Communities, such as, SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled Persons / Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) Categories.

*Diploma / Degree Course in Teacher Education: For the purposes of this Notification, a Diploma / Degree Course in Teacher Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) (Special Education), a Course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.

Training to be undergone: A Person with Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) (Special Education) Qualification shall undergo, after Appointment an NCTE recognized 06-Months’ Special Program in Elementary Education.

The Minimum Educational Qualifications referred herein above apply to Teachers of Languages, Social Studies / Social Science, Mathematics, Science, etc. In respect of the Teachers for Physical Education, the Minimum Qualification Norms for Physical Education Teachers referred to in the National Council for Teacher Education Regulation, Dated the 3rd of November, 2001 (as amended from time to time) shall be applicable. For the Teachers of Art Education, Craft Education, Home Science, Work Education, etc., the existing Eligibility Norms prescribed by the State Governments and other School Managements shall be applicable till such time the NCTE lays down the Minimum Educational Qualifications in respect of such Teachers.

Entrance Examination / Admission Test

Merit List

Viva-voce / Counseling for Seat Allotment / Admission (Detailed Explanation has been cited in the Latter Part of this Write Up.

Selection Criteria:

Selection and Placement of the Candidates shall be made purely on the basis of the Marks secured by him / her in the Entrance Test.

Merit List shall be published on the basis of the Result of Entrance Tests both Category-wise and Subject-wise.

TIE Breaking / Resolution:

In case of TIE in the Marks secured by Two or more than Candidates, the Higher Percentage of the Marks at Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination / (+2) Level shall be taken into consideration. If the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination / (+2) Mark becomes TIE, in that case, the Candidates who was born earlier, shall come First in the Merit List.

Placement of the Candidates would be made through Face-to-Face Counselling.

There shall be no Transfer of the Candidates throughout the Admission Process.

The Candidates, who are appearing in the Final Year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education, etc., are provisionally admitted and their CTET Certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.

The Candidate not having any of the above Educational Qualifications shall not be Eligible for appearing in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).

Counseling for Documents / Certificate:

Documents for submission at the time of Counselling;

All the Candidates are required to submit One Set of Self-Attested Xerox of the following Documents with

  • Downloaded Online Application Form.
  • Entrance Test Admit Card / Counseling Intimation Letter
  • Downloaded Intimation Letter for Counselling.
  • All Certificates and Mark-Sheets in
  • Certificate issued by the Headmaster of the School to the effect that he / she has passed High School Certificate Examination / Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (HSCE).
  • Residential Certificate (RC) issued by Tehsildar / Additional Tehsildar after 30.06.2015.
  • Latest Caste Certificate (LCC) in case of SC, ST and SEBC Candidates, by virtue of Birth. OBC Certificate shall not be considered.
  • Physically Handicapped Certificate (PHC) in case of Physically Handicapped Candidates (PHCs).
  • Ex-Service Man Certificate (ESMC) in case of Son / Unmarried Daughter / Spouse issued by the Competent Authority.
  • Green Card in case of a Green Card Holder (GHC).
  • Admission Fee
  • Placement Letter supplied to the Candidate at the time of Counselling.
  • CLC in Original.

  • Two Recent Passport / Stamp-size Photographs.
