Admission into in Non-Medical, Medical and Commerce Streams only of Class 10+1 in Nine Meritorious Schools being run under the aegis of The Society for Promotion of Quality Education for Poor and Meritorious Students of Punjab in Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali and Patiala shall commence as per the Dates.

Only Students who have scored 80% or Higher Marks in Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Secondary School Certificate Examination / High School Certificate Examination / Matriculate (Xth) Examination from the Government Schools of Punjab and Dashmesh Girls Senior Secondary School, Badal, Dashmesh Senior Secondary School, Talwandi Sabo, District Bathinda and Dashmesh Senior Secondary School, Kotla Sultan, District Amrutsar are Eligible to Apply.

Admission Criterion Entrance Test Result Declaration:
Announcement of the Result for the Entrance Test is likely to be made in the First Week of July 2018.
Admission in 10+1 / X+I shall be purely on based on the Merit List Prepared taking into consideration the Secondary School Certificate Examination / Matriculate Students’ Marks Obtained in Xth Board Examination.
Methodology for Resolving TIE:
If more than one Student has scored Equal Percentage of the Marks, then the Date Of Birth Principle will apply for Admission.
Admission into Class 10+1 in 09 (Nine) Meritorious Schools being run under the aegis of The Society for Promotion of Quality Education for Poor & Meritorious Students of Punjab at Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali, Patiala, Village Hakumat Singh Wala, District Ferozpur, Village Ghabdhan, District Sangrur in Non-Medical, Medical, Commerce Streams and Talwara Township for only Girls in Humanities Streams.
Online Registration & Admit Card Issuance:
The Guidelines for Applying are available on the Website. While applying, the Mobile Phone should be brought along with You. A Verification Code would be generated upon the Mobile Phone and the Process of Online Registration would be Complete only after the said Verification Code is filled up in the Online Registration Form.
An Entrance Examination Fee of ₹ 200/- (If not Revised) per Candidate also to be Deposited in the Bank Online and the Process of the Registration and Issuance of the Meritorious Entrance Examination Admit Card will not be completed unless the Entrance Examination Fee is Deposited Online in the Bank. The Method of Depositing the Entrance Examination Fee Online is also given on the Website.
Once the Prospective Candidates have successfully Registered Online on our Website, an Entrance Examination Admit Card shall be generated and the Students shall be called for an Entrance Written Test.
Entrance Test 2018 Pattern:
The Entrance Test / Written Test consisting of 03 Three Parts / Sections with the Examination Duration being 03 (Three) Hours. Each Section / Part will be one Subject. The Candidates shall be tested in English, Mathematics and Science at Matriculation Level irrespective of the Stream they choose.
Marking Pattern of the Entrance Test for Admission into Meritorious Schools:
The Hon’ble Education Minister Punjab has Ruled that the Candidates will have to score minimum 50% Marks to Qualify in the Proposed Entrance Test for Admission into Meritorious Schools.
The Test Question Paper Booklet / Test Question Paper consists of 03 (Three) Parts (One Per Subject) and each Part carries Maximum 50 Marks. Hence, for a Candidate to qualify in the Entrance Test for Admission into Meritorious Schools, he / she shall have to pass in all 03 (Three) Sections (i.e., Score minimum 16.5 Marks in each Section) and Overall Score 50% Marks in Aggregate, i.e., 75 Marks out of Total 150 Marks. The Candidates having Obtained Less than 50% Marks in Aggregate will not be considered Eligible for Counseling.
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
To Qualify for Admission, the Candidate has to pass, (i.e., Score Minimum Qualifying 33% Marks) in each Part / Section of the Test Question Paper Booklet / Test Question Paper and Overall 50% Marks. The Candidates Appearing in the Entrance Test / Written Test will have to carry their Respective Geometry Box and Writing Material.
Thereafter, a Common Merit List of the Candidates Declared Successful only will be Displayed based on their individual Performance in the Entrance Examination / Written Test. The Entrance Examination / Written Test will be conducted in the Last Week of June 2018 in the District Headquarters.
- Counseling shall be conducted around mid-July 2018 in the District Head Quarters.
