Briefly with reference to M/s Northern Coalfields Limited Notification NCL/SGR/PD/Recruitment/NRD/16/540 Dated the 19th of October 2016 in respect of the Non-Interview Recruitment to 265 Posts of Junior Over-man (T&S) Grade C (197 Vacancies) and Mining Sirdar (T&S) Grade C (68 Vacancies) in the subsequent Paragraph.

We look forward to Northern Coalfields Limited to declare in January 2016 an exact Date in respect of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination followed by issuance of the e-Admit Cards / Hall Tickets for the Candidates found Bona fide after Scrutiny of the Applications and the Documents furnished by them.

Northern Coalfields Limited shall shortly intimate the Date for the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination & other Details.
As per the Government Guidelines, there will be no Personal Interview in the recruitment of the Posts notified by Northern Coalfields Limited.
Final Selection of the Candidate will be made on the basis of the Marks obtained out of Total 100 Marks in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination in order of Merit subject to Eligibility and Qualifying Criteria as per Vacancy Position.
The Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test will consist of One Paper of Total 100 Marks with 02 Parts; One Technical Part of 70 Marks, which will have 70% Weight age in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test and another General Part (Assessment Of Mental Ability, Quantitative Ability, Logical & Reasoning Skills) for 30 Marks, which will have 30% Weight age in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test.
The Technical Part will have 70 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each carrying One Mark. Similarly, the General Part will have 30 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQS) each carrying One Mark.
The Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination will be conducted for 1½ Hours (90 Minutes).

The Minimum Marks in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test obtainable by the Un-Reserved Candidates in order to qualify are 20% in each Part and 50% Marks in Aggregate, i.e., an Un-Reserved (UR) Candidate has to secure Minimum 20% Marks in each Part to qualify as well as 50% in Aggregate. The Minimum Qualifying Marks in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) to qualify will be 20% in each Part and 40% in overall Marks, i.e., an SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidate has to secure Minimum 20% Marks in each Part to qualify as well as 40% in Aggregate.
