The Directorate of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has released the press issue official advertisement in respect of filling up the 290 vacancies of direct recruitment for the post of Constable (GD [No./RC/SSB/CT(GD)SQ/] for the year 2019 in Sashastra Seema Bal, Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs. Applications are invited from eligible candidates through the offline till 7.06.2019 of from submission.
Based on the official recruitment advertisement, the Sashastra Seema Bal has invited from Indian citizens (male & female) for submitting application of GD Constable 290 Vacancies under on or before the last date. Eligible and desirous candidates should send their application form with attested copies of required documents duly filled in the prescribed format addressed to the Assistant Director (Sports) Force Hqr. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), East Block-V, R.K.Puram, New Delhi – 110066 so as to reach on or before the last date of receipt of application. The envelope containing application must be super scribed in block letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE (GD) 2019”.

|Applicants should be passed matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board.
|Upper age limit for appearing in recruitment for the post of CT (GD) through remusteration is below 35 years for General/UR category
candidates. However, upper age limit shall be relaxable by 05 years only for
the SC/ST candidates.
The General and OBC category candidates should pay fee of `100/-(Rupees One hundred only) (Non-Refundable) in the form of IPO/Demand Draft/Banker Cheque. IPO/Demand Draft/ Banker Cheque.
SC/ST & Female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of physical examination, written exam and medical examination.
The bio-metric examination, photograph and signature of the candidates who report with Admit Card at the recruitment venue will be taken which shall be followed by conduct of different stages of recruitment process as under:-
Documentation / Verification of Documents
All candidates will have to go through documentation, in which candidates will have to produce all original documents/certificates pertaining to age, education, caste, sports activities (National/International), proof to avail age relaxation etc.
Physical Standard Test (PST)

Note – Appeal against Physical Standard Test (PST):- Candidates declared disqualified in Physical Standard Test can prefer an appeal to the appellate authority for re-measurement of Height and Chest only. The appeals of the candidates shall be disposed off on the same day by the appellate authority.
The candidates who qualify in the PET, PST and Documentation will have to appear in the written examination. The written examination will be of 2 (two) hours and will of 100 marks consisting 100 multiple objective type question OMR based focusing on General Awareness, General Knowledge, Knowledge of elementary mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to test the basic knowledge of the candidates in English/ Hindi. The questions paper will be bilingual i.e. in English or in Hindi.
Detailed Medical Examination
The candidates who qualify in the Physical Standard Test will be put through for Detailed Medical Examination.
APPEAL AGAINST FINDINGS OF DETAILED MEDICAL EXAMINATION
If a candidate is declared unfit in the detailed medical examination, the grounds for rejection will be communicated to him/her by the Chairman. If the rejected candidate is not satisfied with the findings of the Medical Officer, he/she will obtain Form-1, 2 & 3 from the Chairman Recruitment Board concerned to prefer an appeal for Review Medical Examination within 15 days from the date of issue of communication in which the findings of the Medical Officers is communicated to him/her. The Review Medical Examination fee of `25/- (Rupees Twenty Five only) non-refundable, through a Demand Draft payable in favour of concerned authority to be intimated by Chairman Recruitment Board.
After completion of Review Medical Examination (RME), the final selection list will be generated on the basis of marks obtained in written test. It is hereby emphasized that the candidate who merely secures the qualifying marks and found medically fit, may not have any right for his/her final selection since the cut off marks will be determined based on the number of vacancies after completion of whole recruitment process.
Last date for submission of applications by eligible candidates to their units will be 07.06.2019
After proper scrutiny of applications, the unit concerned will forward the applications of eligible candidates only to ARC Centre at RTC,SSB Gorakhpur by 27.06.2019
After proper scrutiny of applications, ARC, RTC, SSB Gorakhpur will forward the list of eligible candidates in soft and hard copies to Recruitment Branch, FHQ, SSB by 18.07.2019
Applications received after closing date at Units and RTC, SSB, Gorakhpur (UP) i.e. 07.06.2019 & 27.06.2019 respectively will not be entertained.
