SSC CGL 2018 Tentative Vacancies (Upcoming), Ques Papers,Admit Card:

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) shall officially notify Department and Post Specific Category-wise Vacancies in regards to the Combined Graduate Level (Tier I & Tier II) Examinations 2018 for various graduation level upcoming posts. Candidates who are interested may apply for the online applications process from 05th May 2018. The commission will start the application form very shortly through the official website.

SSC CGL 2018 Tentative Vacancies (Upcoming)

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) candidates appearing in both the Staff Selection Commission notified Combined Graduate Level (Tier-I & Tier-II) Examinations 2018, may commence downloading their respective e-Admission Letters for selection to various Posts through Interview-cum-Personality Test and Non-Interview Process as stated in the following Tabular format. The online application form starts from 05th May 2018 through the official website.

The Staff Selection Commission has scheduled hosting of the Combined Graduate Level (Tier I) Exam-2018 from 25th July 2018 to 20th August 2018 and Combined Graduate Level (Tier II) Examination 27th November 2018 to 30th November 2018 as per the Combined Graduate Level (Tier I & Tier II) Examinations 2018 Schedule Dates cited hereinabove. The Commission shall conduct the Combined Graduate Level (Tier-I) Examination 2018, to shortlist the candidates for Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination 2018, for filling up different Categories of the Posts in different Ministries / Departments / Organizations. Subject to Administrative / Public exigencies, Final Selection through the Combined Graduate Level (Tier I and Tier II) Examinations-2018 for specific categories of Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ Posts and the candidates shortlisted in the Combined Graduate Level (Tier-I) Examination 2018 would be called for appearing in the Combined Graduate Level (Tier II) Examination 2018, subsequently.

SSC CGL Question Paper & Syllabus 2018

The Staff Selection Commission notified Combined Graduate Level Examination – 2018 consists of Three (03) Tiers, as follows:

Tier I The Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions based Paper
Tier II The Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions based Paper
Tier III Personality Test-cum-Interview / Computer Proficiency Test / Skill Test (wherever applicable) / Document Verification

Scoring / Marking in the Tier – I & Tier II:

There shall be Negative Marking for Wrong Answers to Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions Both in Tier I & Tier II of the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2018.  The Staff Selection Commission shall deduct ¼th (0.25) Marks for each Wrong Answer in Tier – I in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Answer Sheet.

In Tier II also, there shall be deduction of One-fourth ¼th (0.25) of the Marks against each Incorrect Answer in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Answer Sheet given to the candidates.

The Staff Selection Commission shall deduct 0.50 Marks in Paper I & Paper III for each Wrong Answer given by the Candidates in the Optical Markup Reader Response Sheet.

Tier III consisting of Personality Test-cum-Interview / Computer Proficiency Test / Skill Test (wherever applicable) / Document Verification shall lead to drawing up the All India Merit List in each category for recruitment of the Gender wise Candidates based on the their performance and Aggregate Marks scored both in Tier- II & Tier III of the Group ‘B’ & Group ‘C’ Posts.

Combined Graduate Level (Tier-I) Examination – 2018 scheduled to be held from 25th July 2018 to 20th August 2018:
    The Staff Selection Commission released e-Admission Certificates Two Weeks prior to the Date of SSC Combined Graduate Level (Tier-I) Examination 2018 shall commence shortly.
Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination -2018 scheduled to be hosted on two successive days:

Selection Criteria:

The Staff Selection Commission has prescribed the Selection Criteria as hereunder under:

After the Written Examination and Personal Interview (PI) / Skill Test (ST) / Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) / Document Verification (DV), wherever applicable, the Staff Selection Commission shall draw up the All India Merit List (AIML) for each Category of the Post prior to allotting them to the Posts under ‘X’, ‘Y’ & ‘Z’.

As many as candidates are found by the Staff Selection Commission to have qualified in the Examination shall be recommended for appointment for each Category of the Post up to the number of vacancies available, taking into consideration the option for the Posts.

The Commission will recommend the Candidates in the Merit List on the basis of the Aggregate Marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview (wherever applicable) and Preference exercised by the Candidates in the Application Form for different Posts.

The SC, ST, OBC and PH Candidates, who are selected on their own merit without Relaxed Standards, along with candidates belonging to other Communities, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies. Such SC, ST, OBC and PH Candidates will be accommodated against the general / unreserved vacancies in the post as per their position in the overall Merit List or vacancies earmarked for their respective Category, whichever is advantageous to them.

A person with Physical Disabilities (OH/HH/VH) who qualifies the Commission’s Examination under General Standards could be appointed against an Unreserved Vacancy provided the Post is identified suitable for the Person with Disability of relevant Category.

An Ex-Serviceman or Physically Handicapped (OH/HH/VH) Category candidate who qualifies on the basis of relaxed standards; viz., Age Limit, Experience or Qualifications, permitted number of chances in the Written Examination, extended Zone of consideration, etc., is to be counted against Reserved Vacancies and not against General Vacancies subject to Fitness of such Candidates for selection. Such candidates may also be recommended at the relaxed standards to the extent the number of vacancies reserved for them, to make up for the deficiency in the reserved quota, irrespective of their rank in the order of Merit. In so far as the cases of Ex-Serviceman are concerned, deduction from the age of Ex-Servicemen is permissible against the Reserved or Unreserved posts and such Exemption cannot be termed as relaxed standards in regard to the Age.

Resolution of TIE Cases:

The TIE Cases will be resolved by applying one after another, as applicable till the TIE is resolved:

  1. Total Marks in the Written Examination and Personal Interview, wherever, applicable.
  2. Total Marks of Tier-II Examination.
  • Total Marks in Tier-I Examination.
  1. Date of Birth, with Older Candidate placed Higher.
  2. Alphabetical Order in which the First Names of the candidates appear.

    Respected sor/ madam.myself Pushpa. I am a blind candidate. i am interested in aoplying for SSC-CGL exam. I got to know there will be online exams but i donot have any idea about it. To attend these exams should we go to cyber center or you people fix a place and give any laptop facility. Can we atrend these exams from mobilw phones. Kindlyclear my doubts. Thank you.
