The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is all set to conduct on 04.03.2018 to 26.03.2018 (CBE)* Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2017 for recruitment to the Posts of  Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants (PAs / SAs), Data Entry Operators (DEOs), Lower Division Clerks (LDCs) vacancies in different Departments under various Ministries in the Union Territories and States of India in the subsequent Paragraphs.

ssccgleThe Commission shall conduct countrywide, All India Competitive Examination Computer Based Online Test comprising the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions commencing on the 4th of March 2018 (04.03.2018) up to the 26th of March 2018 (26.03.2018).

SSC CHSL (10+2) Exam Pattern/Syllabus 2016

The Staff Selection Commission shall release TWO WEEKS (beginning in the Last Week of December 2016) the e-Admission Certificates / Hall Examination Tickets for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2017 participating Candidates. We would publish Quicker Alert in this regard for the ready reference of the Candidates. The Commission shall upload the Hall Exam Tickets / Admit Cards on the SSC Website.

परीक्षा में तीन विषयों पर ज्यादा ध्यान देने की जरूरत है। एक्सपर्ट्स की सलाह है कि तार्किक योग्यता या रीजनिंग, गणित अंग्रेजी विषय पर फोकस करने की जरूरत रहेगी। क्याेंकि-इन विषयों में कम से कम समय में ज्यादा से ज्यादा अंक हासिल कर सकते हैं, इससे आप पर अगले चरण में ज्यादा स्कोर करने का दबाव नहीं रहेगा।

The Scheme of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2018 is as cited in the Tabular Format.

The Staff Selection Commission shall proceed on the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2017 including Shortlisting, Skill Test, Personal Interview and Selection Procedure among other as stated here under:

Note – I: The Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam, 2017 will comprise the Objective Type-Multiple Choice Questions (OTMCQs) only as hereinabove. The Questions will be set both in English & Hindi Languages for Part-I, III & IV.

Note – II: There shall be Negative Marking of 0.25 Marks (or ¼th) of the Total Marks for each wrong Answer given by the Candidates.

Note – III: The Staff Selection Commission shall place the Optical Mark Recognition Based Test Booklet Set wise Answers Key in Set A, Set B, Set C, Set D Series in Portable Document Format (PDF) File or otherwise on the Commission’s Website upon conclusion of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2017.

The Commission shall seek the Candidates to report to the Staff Selection Commission in case of misrepresentation regarding the Optical Mark Recognition Based Test Question Booklet Answer Sheet / Answers Key and the representation of the Provisional Answers Key received within 07 days of uploading of the Answers Key will be scrutinized but the decision of the Commission in this regard will be Final.

Note – IV: The Staff Selection Commission, in case of Reservation might introduce Additional Stage of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016, if any, which would be notified by the Commission at a suitable time, if considered necessary.

SSC Comined Higher Secondary Level 2016 Admit Card

The Staff Selection Commission, based on the Examinees respective performance in the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2017 / Computer Based Recruitment Test would SHORTLIST the Candidates before summoning them for the Skill Test.

The Staff Selection Commission, among the Candidates who qualify in the Skill Test, would recommend them for Appointments based on their performance in the All India Computer Based Recruitment Test (AICBRT). The Staff Selection Commission would carry out the selection of the Candidates depending on their Merit Positions and the Options for various posts, Departments for which option they will exercise the Option.

The Staff Selection Commission further sets the following Criteria for Final Selection of the Candidates:

The “Data Entry Speed” Skill Test would be of QUALIFYING NATURE. The Candidates allowed to take this Test, will have to QUALIFY THE TEST at the prescribed speed on Computer, to be provided by the Commission or the Agency authorized by the Commission to conduct such Skill Test at the Center / Venue so notified.

Only those candidates, who qualify in the Written Part of the All India Computer Based Online Test and would secure Minimum Qualifying Marks as may be fixed by the Staff Selection Commission in their discretion, will be considered Eligible to take the Skill Test.

Only such candidates who qualify in the Skill Test at a speed of not less than 8000 Key Depressions Per Hour (KDPH) will be deemed Eligible for being recommended for Appointment as per their position in the Merit List.

None of the Candidates including PH Candidates who qualify in the Written Part of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016 will be exempted from the Skill Test as passing of the skill test is a Pre-Condition and one of the Essential Qualifications for Appointment to the Post of Data Entry Operators (DEOs).  

SSC CHSL (10+2) Expected Cut Off 2016 

In case where more than One Candidate secure the Equal Aggregates Marks, TIE will be resolved by applying the following Methods one after another:

i) Marks in First Part of the Written Part of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016.

ii) Date of Birth, with Older Candidates placed Higher.

iii) Alphabetical Order in which First Names of the Candidates appear.

Application Fee:

Rs. 100/- (Mode of Payment “CRF Stamp”

The Application Fee shall be exempted for in case all Female Candidates and the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Challenged / Physically Handicapped /  and Ex-Service Men Categories Eligible for reservation, as per Government orders.
