The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Notification Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2019 for recruitment to 5000 posts consisting of Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants (PAs / SAs), Data Entry Operators (DEOs), Lower Division Clerks (LDCs) as stated in the subsequent Paragraphs. Online Applications registration process are starting from 05th of March 2019 and last date of registration is 05th of April 2019.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Online Registration shall commences from 05th of March 2019 with the Online Application Forms through the official website. The Staff Selection Commission is likely to release schedule of application submission of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2019 at the quickest possible through the commission’s website. All the candidates may submit the application forms for CHSL 2019 from 05/03/2019 to 05/04/2019.

Academic Educational Qualification:
The Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or Equivalent Examination from a recognized Board or University.
A General Candidate should have completed Minimum 18 Years and must not exceed 27 Years of Age as on 01-08-2019 (i.e. Candidates born not before 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2001). Relaxation in Upper Age Limits to the other Candidates shall be as officially notified in the Detailed Official Notification.

Criteria for preparing Merit List for Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination – 2019:
The Staff Selection Commission would conduct the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination comprising Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions only. The Multiple Choice Questions shall be set both in English & Hindi for Written Part – I, III & IV.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Each wrong answer submitted by the candidate shall attract a deduction of ¼th Marks.
The Staff Selection Commission shall declare the Results of the Written Examination taken by the Candidates obtained by them in all Sections of Papers; however, which means a Candidate would have to secure the Minimum Qualifying Marks (as determined by the Commission) in the Online Written Test. However, the Staff Selection Commission shall prepare an All India Merit List (AIML) of the Candidates based on their performance and Sufficient High Marks both in the Objective Test and Interview / Skill Test taken together for FINAL SELECTION of the Candidates.
Mode of Selection:
The Staff Selection Commission would shortlist the candidates on the basis of their respective performance in the Written Part of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2019 before calling them for the Skill Test.
Among the candidates who qualify in the Skill Test, the Staff Selection Commission would recommend their Appointments based on their performance in the Written Examination. The Staff Selection Commission would carry out the selection of the Candidates depending on their Merit Positions and the Options for various posts, Departments for which option they will exercise the Option.
The Staff Selection Commission further sets the following criteria for Final Selection of the candidates:
The “Data Entry Speed” Skill Test would be of qualifying nature. Candidates allowed to take this test, will have to qualify the test at the prescribed speed on Computer, to be provided by the Commission or the agency authorized by the Commission to conduct such skill test at the Center / Venue so notified.
Only those candidates, who qualify in the Written Part of Examination and would secure Minimum Qualifying Marks as may be fixed by the Commission in their discretion, will be eligible to take the Skill Test.
Only such candidates who qualify in the Skill Test at a speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour will be eligible for being recommended for appointment as per their position in the Merit List.
None of the candidates including PH candidates who qualify in the written part of the examination will be exempted from the Skill Test as passing of the skill test is a precondition and one of the essential qualifications for appointment to the post of Data Entry Operator.
Resolution of TIE Cases:
In case where more than One Candidate secure the Equal Aggregates Marks, TIE will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another:
i) Marks in First Part of the Written Part of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2019.
ii) Date of Birth, with Older Candidates placed Higher.
iii) Alphabetical Order in which First Names of the Candidates appear

Syllabus and Scheme of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam – 2019:
The Staff Selection Commission shall conduct Online Test consisting of 200 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions (OTMCQs) the Posts of Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants Lower Division Clerks (LDCs) / Data Entry Operators (DEOs). The Scheme of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2019 is as cited in the Tabular Format.

Note – I: The Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam, 2019 will comprise the Objective Type-Multiple Choice Questions (OTMCQs) only as herein above. The Questions will be set both in English & Hindi Languages for Part-I, III & IV.
Note – II: There will be Negative Marking of 0.25 Marks (or ¼th) of the Total Marks for each wrong Answer given by the Candidates.
Note – III: The Staff Selection Commission shall place the Test Booklet Set wise Answers Keys in Set A, Set B, Set C, Set D series in Portable Document Format (PDF) File on the Commission’s Website upon conclusion of the Written Examination.
The Commission shall intimate the Candidates to report to the Staff Selection Commission in case of misrepresentation regarding the Optical Mark Recognition Based Answer Sheet / Answers Key and the representation of the Answers Key received within 0 7 days of uploading of the Answers Key will be scrutinized but the decision of the Commission in this regard will be Final.
Note – IV: The Staff Selection Commission, in case of Reservation might introduce Additional Stage of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2019, if any, which would be notified by the Commission at a suitable time, if considered necessary.

The Application Fee shall be exempted for in case all Female Candidates and the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Challenged / Physically Handicapped / and Ex-Service Men Categories Eligible for reservation, as per Government Orders.
