The Staff Selection Commission notified All India Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted) 2018 in the subsequent Paragraph. Recruitment to the Posts of Stenographers in Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ shall be strictly in order of the Final Merit List / Select List drawn up based on the Sufficient High Marks secured by the Candidates in the Objective Written Part of the Stenographer Grade C & Grade D Competitive Examination, 2018.

Only those Candidates shall be recommended for Appointment (who must have secured Maximum Marks Section wise and IN AGGREGATE with Least Inaccuracies (Mistakes) in the Shorthand Dictation and Transcription thereof) against the Vacancies of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & Stenographers Grade ‘D’ in the Ministries / Departments of the Central Government, including their Attached / Subordinate Offices located in the States and Union Territories all over the country.

Allocation of Candidates will be made to User Departments depending upon their Merit Position and the Option exercised by them.
That the Staff Selection Commission is all set to announce soon the Result of All India Competitive Examination Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & Stenographer Grade ‘D’ 2018 carrying Maximum 200 Marks with Deduction of ¼th or 0.25 Marks for each Wrong Response to the Test Question Booklet in Set A, Set B, Set C, Set D respectively. The Commission will conduct soon the All India Stenographers Grade ‘C’ & Grade ‘D’ Competitive Examination 2018 countrywide. The Results of the said All India Stenographers Grade ‘C’ & Grade ‘D’ Competitive Examination 2018 would also be published / uploaded on the Staff Selection Commission Head Quarters and Regional Staff Selection Commission Websites as well.

That the Commission, based on the Candidates’ individual performance in the Objective Written Test of the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & Stenographer Grade ‘D’ 2018, shall shortlist only those Candidates who may have secured Community-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks Section-wise and IN AGGREGATE for the Skill Test.
That the Candidates having scored either Equal to or Higher than the Prescribed Minimum Qualifying Standard for each Category would be summoned by the Staff Selection Commission for the Skill Test consisting of Dictation both in English and Hindi Languages.
That the Commission shall release e-Admission Certificates / Hall Tickets for such Candidates to appear for the Skill Test.

SSC Stenographer Grade C / D Cut Off 2018
The Candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill Test on the basis of their performance in the SSC Grade ‘C’ & Grade ‘D’ Competitive Written Examination 2018. The Candidates who would qualify in the Skill Test will be recommended for Appointment by the Commission on the basis of the Total Marks obtained in the Written Examination.
Allocation of Candidates will be made to User Departments depending upon their Merit Position and the option exercised by them.
Resolution of TIE Cases:
In case where more than one Candidate secure Equal Aggregate Marks, TIE will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another:
i) The Marks in the Grade ‘C’ & Grade ‘D’ Competitive Written Examination 2018.
ii) Date of Birth, with Senior Candidates / Older Candidates placed higher.
iii) Alphabetical Order in which First Names of the Candidates appear.
