TSLAWCET & TSPGLCET 2018 Notification: The Kakatiya University Convener of Common Entrance Test TSLAWCET & TSPGLCET 2018 has advertised the Admission Notification & Invites the Online Applications for Admissions to Law (3 Year/ 5 Year LL.B courses) & LLM courses respectively. Telangana State LAWCET & PGLCET Admission Online Registration is going to commence shortly onwards, Eligible Applicants for LLB/ LLM Admissions may apply before the end date at web portal links shared hereunder.

TSLAWCET / TSPGLCET 2018 Notification Kakatiya University

Telangana Law Admissions 2018: Common Entrance Tests, designated as Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test-2018 (TSLAWCET-2018) and Telangana State PG Law Common Entrance Test – 2018 (TSPGLCET-2018) will be conducted by the convener, TSLAWCET/ TSPGLCET-2018, Kakatiya University on schedule soon. Candidates seeking Admissions to the 3 Year/ 5 Year LLB Course OR LLM Course from Telangana State Law Colleges/ Institutes may apply for Online Application process very soon.

Admission Criteria:

Admissions to the LLB/ LLM Courses in Telangana State Law Schools/ Colleges/ Institutes/ Universities shall be based on TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET-2018 Entrance Test Merit/ Ranking 2018. Further high in Rank candidates will be called for Web based counseling & through allotment of seats through Counseling Rounds candidates will have to produce the Required Original/ Required Documents & course fee.

Application Fee:

  • Registration fee for submission of application for 3 Year/ 5 Year LL.B courses Rs.350/- For SC/STs Rs.250/-
  • Registration fee for submission of the Application for LL.M courses Rs.600/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/STs)

Submission of Applications is Permitted through Online mode only. Fee payment through TS Online/ mee seva/ e.seva, Debit/ Credit Card for Payment Gateway of Visa/ Master/ Maestro

Ranking: The Candidates will be ranked in the order of merit based on the marks obtained in the TSLAWCET-2018. In case of tie the relative rank will be decided as mentioned below:

By considering the marks secured in Part-C of T S LAWCET and if the tie still persists marks obtained in Part-B in TSLAWCET shall be taken into consideration

Ranking: The Candidates will be ranked as per the total marks obtained in the Entrance Test. If there is a tie in total marks, the marks obtained in Part-A of Entrance Test will be considered for awarding the rank. If the tie persists they may be bracketed together for the purpose of ranking and seniority in age may be considered at the time of admission.

Rank obtained in PGLCET-2018 is valid for admission into LL.M. Courses, as the case may be, for the academic year 2018-2019 only

Test Syllabus:

Part – A : Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: General Knowledge and Mental Ability

Part – B : Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: Current Affairs

Part – C: Consists of 60 questions carrying 60 marks: Aptitude for the Study of Law.

A Single entrance test is conducted for all the courses of LL.M It is of 90 minutes duration and consists of 120 questions of 1 mark each.

Part-A consists of 40 questions; and

Part -B consists of 80 questions of 1 mark each

3 – Year LL.B:

Candidates should have passed any Degree (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized University with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned. 44.5% or more shall be rounded off and treated as 45%.

Ø The candidates who have less than the prescribed percentage but have secured the same percentage or more on the aggregate in any PG Degree (Masters Degree) or B.Ed are eligible.

Ø The candidates should have qualified in the TSLAWCET-2018

5 – year LL.B :

Candidates should have passed 2 year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, T.S./A.P. 44.5% or more shall be rounded off and treated as 45%.

LL.M: The candidates should have passed LL.B / BL (3/5 year) from recognized University Ø The candidates should have qualified in the TSPGLCET-2018


A candidate appearing for LLB/BL 3/5 year degree final examinations may take the TSPGLCET in anticipation of results. However, he should pass the examination at the time of counseling

Age for admission: Maximum age limit for a candidate seeking admission into the 3 year LL.B Course shall be 30 (Thirty) Years (relaxation by five years in case of SCs/STs and OBC.

For 5 year LL.B. course shall be 20 (Twenty) years (relaxation by two years in case of SCs/STs and OBC)

Entrance Cut off Marks:

Qualifying marks in TSPGLCET-2018: The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 25%. (i.e., 30 marks out of 120 marks) There will be no qualifying marks for S.Cs & S.T. categories

Admission Process for TSLAWCET & TSPGLCET 2018:

Admissions to the said LLB/ LLM Courses to the Colleges/ Institutes in Telangana State shall be made on Merit in Entrance Test 2018. The qualified candidates further through Counseling Rounds will be allotted the Colleges/ Seats/ Courses in due course.

Counseling: Candidates qualified in TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET-2018 examination to attend for spot admission at your institution on a particular day fixed by the Convener, TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET – 2018 (Admissions) for Spot Admissions for the left over vacancies/ dropout vacancies/ cancelled seats if any at the institutional level. The candidates should be insisted upon to produce all the original certificates before admission . All spot admissions shall be made strictly in accordance with the regulations.

Admission Entrance Test Result/ Counseling:

Result of the TSLAWCET, TSPGLCET 2018 shall be made public by the conducting department at the website portal after Entrance Test Answer book scrutiny. Candidates should keep visiting our website portal for all latest to Admission Updates concerned to Law Admissions in Telangana State.

The list of recognized/approved Law Colleges along with the sanctioned strength and the courses that are permitted by the Bar Council of India/University concerned/TSCHE and the seats for which the Government is competent to make admissions for the academic year 2018-2019 will be informed after publication of the results.

TSLAWCET/ TSPGLCET 2019 Hall Tickets and Rank Cards:

The candidates should note that the Hall Tickets and Rank Cards will not be sent by post. They have to download from the website as detailed below:

  • The candidates have to download the Hall Tickets from the website www.lawcet.tsche.ac.in one week before the Test by entering his/her details.
  • The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website www.lawcet.tsche.ac.in after publication of results.
