UPSC CMS Notification 2018,Combined Medical Services Online Reg Form,Syllabus,Pattern:

The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) is all set to release the examination notification concerning the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) 2018. UPSC has scheduled the CMS 2018 Examination & likely to commence the application submission procedure soon at the official website of the Commission. Union Public Services Commission shall update the Combined Medical Services Examination 2018 notification & schedule of examination 2018. Candidates meet the eligibility may apply for the examination within specified period of time as stated by the commission.

The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) is going to invite the applications from interested eligible candidates may submit their application till the last date of submission at the official website of the Commission.

Candidates are required to apply online by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in Brief instructions for filling up the online Application Form can be seen from the detailed notification. While filling in his/her online application form, the candidate should carefully decide about his/her choice for the centre.

Application Fee-

Candidates (Excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay of fee of RS. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI etc. For more details take reference to the notification.

Required Eligibility

Educational Qualification:

For admission to the examination a candidate should have passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.

Physical and Medical Standards:

Candidates must be physically and medically fit according to the physical/medical standards for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2018 as per regulations contained in notification to the Rules of the Examination.

Age Limit:

A candidate for this examination must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st January, 2018, i.e. the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1986

UPSC CMS Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2018

The written examination for Combined Medical Service for two objective papers will be conducted in Computer based mode.

Part-I- (COMPUTER BASED EXAMINATION – (500 marks))

The candidates will take the Computer based examination in two Papers, each Paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks. Each Paper will be of two hours duration.

Paper-1

Paper -1 (Code No-1) No of questions Maximum Marks –
General Ability 30 questions Maximum marks shall be 250
General Medicine 70 questions
Pediatrics 20 questions
Total Question in Paper-1 120

Paper-2

Paper -2 (Code No-2) No of questions Maximum Marks –
Surgery 40 Questions Maximum marks shall be 250
Gynecology & Obstetrics 40 Questions
Preventive & Social Medicine 40 Questions
Total Question in Paper-1 120

Part-II Personality Test: (100 Marks)

Candidates who qualify in the Computer based examination will be called for Interview/Personality Test to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The Interview/Personality Test will carry 100 marks. The interview for Personality Test will be intended to serve as a supplement to the Computer based examination for testing the General Knowledge and ability of the candidates in the fields of their academic study.

UPSC CMS-2018 Admit Card

The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available in the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for downloading by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post. All the applicants are required to provide valid and active E-mail i.d. while filling up Online Application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them.
