UPSC Mains Admit Card 2019, Civil Services Permission Letter:

Union Public Service Commission is set to release the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2019 Admit Cards, Permission Letters notification. UPSC Civil Services Main Exam September Admit Cards consisting Paper wise Exam schedule/ Exam centres name along with Civil Services Main Exam Roll No shall be provided to the CS Main Eligible candidates.

UPSC has scheduled the Civil Services Main Examination 2019 from 20th September 2019 to 24th September 2019 on prescribed dates & in advance to issue the Exam Admit Cards through the website of the Commission as notification/ Mail Id etc.

Earlier Union Public Service Commission notified the Civil Services Main Examination 2019 schedule through the Commission website. Concerned candidates seeking information for the Main Examination 2019 updates are hereby intimated/ briefed the Links/ instructions to Download the Civil Services Mains Examination Admit Cards/ Permission Letters along with the announcements made by the UPSC thereon.

The mains examination will be conducted in two slots every day. The first slot will be from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the morning and the second slot from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM. There will be a total of 09 tests in five days. The results of the prelims exams already declared on 12th July 2019 (Friday) on its official website.

The Civil Services Main Examination Paper-1 to 7 total consisting of 1750 Marks as Written Examination & further 275 Marks Interview will make the Grand Total of 2025 marks. Candidate can take any Modern Indian language but this paper is of qualifying nature

Essay – 250 MarksCan be written in the medium or language of the candidate’s choice

General Studies-I 250 Marks
(Indian Heritage and Culture,

(Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International relations)

A candidate is allowed to take up literature as an optional subject “without the condition of having it at the graduation level.”

Sub Total (Written test) 1750 Marks– Marks of English and Language will not be counted in the total tally of marks for the written exam. So the total of the Mains exam will be 1750 Marks Only.

Interview/Personality Test – 275 marks
Candidate can give preference to the language in which they may like to be interviewed. UPSC will make arrangement for the translators.
