Based on the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Recruitment Notification in respect of the National Defence Academy / Naval Academy Examination (II) 2018 (NDA / NAE – II) 2018, we would like to briefly share certain inputs essential for the ready reference of India’s Passionate Young Dedicated Candidates aspiring to seek their respective Career into Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force stated in the subsequent Paragraphs.
UPSC NDA/NA-2 Exam Notification 2018
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Online Registration with the release of the Online Notification in concurrence with As It Is Detailed Advertisement in the Employment Newspaper shall commence on the June 2018 onwards, we have the details for the candidates, as hereunder:
Age Limit (As On the Cut-off Date):
Age Limits, Gender and Marital Status: Only Unmarried Male Candidates born neither earlier than the 2nd of January, 1999 not later than the 1st of January, 2002 are eligible to apply.
The Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 Pattern of School Education or Equivalent Examination may also apply for this National Defence Academy / Naval Academy Examination.

The Candidates who are appearing in the 12thClass under the 10+2 Pattern of School Education or Equivalent Examination can also apply for this Examination.
UPSC NDA-2 Online Registration Form 2018
- Online Registration shall commence on the June 2018.
- The Deadline of Online Application Forms by the Candidates is the July 2018.
The Union Public Service Commission shall conduct on the 18th of September, an All India Competitive Examination (AICE) for the NDA / NA – (II) candidates across the country. The National Defense Academy / Naval Academy (NDA/NA) Examination (II) 2018 comprising the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions shall consist of Mathematics & General Ability Test (MGAT) Papers both put together carrying (300 + 600) Totaling 900 Marks.
Verification of Candidates’ Eligibility Conditions with reference to Original Documents shall be taken up only after he / she has qualified for Personality Test / Personal interview.

UPSC NDA-NA-2 e-Admit Cards / Hall Tickets: 2018
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) shall upload on the UPSC Website the e-Admittance Cards / Hall Examination Tickets Three Weeks Prior To The Commencement Of the NDA / NA Examination (II) 2018 for Induction of the Candidates into National Defence Academy (NDA) / Naval Academy (NA) (10+2) Cadet Entry Scheme Indian Army (IA), Indian Navy (IN), India Air Force (IAF) & Cadet Entry Scheme (CES).
UPSC NDA-NA-2 Scheme of the Online Written Examination: 2018
The Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions printed in the Test Booklet Series Set A, Set B, Set C & Set D Series shall contain the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions from the Sections A, B, C, D, E & F and shall be given the Weight age as here under:

Penalty for Wrong Answers:
There will be Penalty for Wrong Answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers mentioned with Each Test Booklet containing the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions in English and Hindi Languages as hereunder:
- There are four alternatives for the answer to every question printed on the Optical Markup Reader (OMR) Sheet. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the Candidate, One-third of the Marks assigned to that Question will be deducted as penalty.
- If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a Wrong Answer, even if one of the given answers happens to be correct, yet there will be the same penalty to that question.
- If a question is left point blank by the candidate, i.e., no answer is given by him / her, there will be no penalty for that question.
NB: Those candidates who have yet to qualify in the 12th Class or Equivalent Examination and are allowed to appear in the UPSC Examination should note that this is only a special concession given to them. They are required to submit proof of passing the 12thclass or Equivalent Examination by the Prescribed Date.
UPSC NDA-NA-2 Intelligence and Personality Test:
The SSB Procedure consists of two stage Selection process- Stage I and Stage II. Only those candidates who clear the Stage I are permitted to appear for Stage II. The details are:
- Stage I consists of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Tests are Picture Perception *Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on combination of performance in QIR Test and PP and DT.
- Stage II consists of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over Four (04) days. The details of these tests are given on the Indian Army (Join Indian Army) Website.
|Phase I||would comprise Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion Test|
|The Candidates declared QUALIFIED in Phase I shall be allowed to appear in Phase II. The candidates declared NOT QUALIFIED in the Phase I would be sent back.|
|Phase II||shall comprise Psychological Testing, Group Testing and Interview. The Test shall be held over Four (04) days.
The Successful candidates shall be put to Medical Examination that would be held during 03 – 05 Days.

The Candidates recommended by the Union Public Service Commission for Personal Interview by the Services Selection Board (SSB) who in case may have changed their Communication Addresses subsequent to the submission of their Online Applications for the said NDA / NA Examination (II) should immediately after announcement of the Result of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Answer Sheet Based Written Part of the All India Competitive Examination notify the change in the Address also to:

UPSC NDA-NA- 2 Application Fee: 2018
The Candidates (excepting SC/ST /Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs as specified in Note 2 below who are exempted from Payment of the Application Fee) are required to pay a Fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) either in cash (by depositing the money) at any Branch of the State Bank of India by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala / State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/ Debit Card.
