Takes cognizance of the Xavier School of Management (XSM) notified Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2017-18 for admission into Business Management (BM) / Human Resource Management (HRM) / General Management Programs (GMPs) held on this date the 7th of January 2018 (07.01.2018) and state in the subsequent Paragraphs.

The Office of the Controller of Examinations is likely to release within 48 Hours Fully-Solved Optical Mark Recognition Based Answer Sheet in Set A, Set B, Set C, Set D of the Test Question Booklet of Xavier Aptitude Test 2018.

XLRI Cut Off Marks General | SC | ST OBC 2018

Xavier School of Management (XSM) shall declare the Expected Cut-Off Marks / Minimum Percentile Marks to shortlist the Candidates for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

We anticipate the Controller of Examinations, Xavier School of Management to declare before January-end 2017 the Results through shortlisting the Examinees securing Maximum Scores in each Section of the Test mentioned here under.

XAT 7th January Questions Paper Analysis 2018

The Office of the Controller of Examinations notified Xavier Aptitude Test 2018 consists of the Tests stated here under:

  • Quantitative Ability
  • English Language & Logical Reasoning
  • Decision Making
  • General Knowledge
  • Essay

This Written Examination consists of Two Parts: Part I and Part II. Part I consists of Three Sections, i.e., A, B and C with 24, 21 and 27 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions respectively; i.e., a Total of 72 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type. The Three Sections of Part I are followed by Part II with 25 General Knowledge Multiple Choice Questions and an Essay. If there is a problem with your Test Booklet, inform the Invigilator / Supervisor immediately and get a replacement.

The time for completing the Three Sections and General Knowledge is 210 Minutes. The Candidates are expected to answer the First Three Sections in 170 Minutes and General Knowledge Questions in 35 Minutes. Aim at securing Maximum Scores in each Section. General Knowledge Marks would be used only for the Final Selection and not for Shortlisting candidates for Personal Interview / Group Discussion.

Selection Criteria:

A Candidate may apply for multiple Programs. Those who apply for more than one Program may be called for multiple Personal Interviews and / or Group Discussions.

The Selection Criteria for different Programs may differ depending on the nature of the Program. XAT Written Test will have different Components and you need to maximize your respective performance in each of them.

While preparing the Shortlisted Candidates for the Interview, in addition to XAT performance, XSM is likely to factor in Academic Background and the relevant Professional Experience. Besides Performance in Personal Interviews (and / or Group Discussions), we also consider XAT Performance, relevant Working Experience, Academic Background, Extra-Curricular Activities  (ECAs) while preparing the Final List.

It is a Profile-based Selection wherein Personal Interviews, Academic and Professional record and SOP is taken into consideration.
